PDP sets up Imo caretaker committee

 

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has formed a caretaker committee for its Imo chapter, led by Chidi Dike.

According to a statement from PDP’s national publicity secretary, Debo Ologunagba, the committee was endorsed by the party’s National Working Committee (NWC) on behalf of the National Executive Committee (NEC).

Ologunagba noted that the establishment of the committee to oversee the activities of the Imo chapter of the party was in line with section 29(2)(b) of the PDP Constitution (as Amended in 2017).

According to him, the caretaker committee is responsible for running the party’s affairs for a period not exceeding 90 days or until a new Executive Committee is elected.

He said other committee members included Ugorji Onuegbu (secretary), Esther Aguwamba, Nnamdi Nsorom, Nwoke Oma, and Edith Nwachi.

The secretary urged all leaders, critical stakeholders, and teeming members of the PDP in Imo to remain united and continue to work together for the progress of the party in the state.
