PA, driver linked to caterer’s gruesome murder in Akure

A middle-aged man (name withheld) has been arrested by homicide detectives in Akure for the death of a famous caterer, Mrs Debbie Olakunbi Monsurat Adene (née Oyeneye), who was gruesomely murdered on Thursday.

The Hope reliably gathered that the man, described as her Personal Assistant (PA), has confessed to the crime and is also providing the police with useful information about the circumstances surrounding the killing.

The Hope also gathered that the late caterer’s driver, who is on the run, provided the weapon used to hack her to death.

It was learnt that the duo wanted the money that was sprayed on her during her birthday celebrations.

Mrs Adene was hacked to death five days after her 54th birthday.

The PA and the driver of the deceased allegedly conspired to kill her with the motive of obtaining the proceeds from her birthday celebration.

The driver has since taken to his heels.

Details later.
