Oshiomhole heads 256-member Edo APC governorship campaign council

 

Ahead of the Edo State governorship election, the All Progressives Congress (APC) has unveiled a 256-member State Campaign Council, led by the former governor of the state, Adams Oshiomhole, as its chairman.

In a statement issued on Wednesday in Benin City, Acting Chairman Jarrett Tenebe announced the appointment of Senator Matthew Urhoghide as the Director-General of the Campaign Council and Mr. Joe Ugheoke as the Campaign Council Secretary.

Additional key members of the council include Peter Akpatason, who will serve as Deputy Director-General of Operations, and Mike Onolememen, who will serve as Deputy Director-General of Administration.

“Chief Lucky Imasuen, Odi Okogie and Abu Lawani are Coordinators for Edo South, Edo Central and Edo North, respectively. The Campaign Council also has Mr Bisi Idaomi as Director of Administration, John Osakue as Director of Operations, while Samson Osagie is the Director of Contacts,” Mr Tenebe said.

According to the statement, Dr Ernest Umakhihe will serve as the Director of Finance, Orobosa Omo Ojo is Director, Publicity, while Kazeem Afegbua will function as Director, Media Relations
