One Year After: Liberal Platform Pays Tribute to Akeredolu’s Legacy

The Liberal Platform has joined the people of Ondo State and well-wishers across the country to commemorate the one-year remembrance of Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Odunayo Akeredolu (SAN), whose tenure as the Executive Governor of Ondo State left an enduring legacy.

In a tribute signed by Hon. Tunde Bibi Aladenola, Admin General, and Hon. Demola Ijabiyi, Founder of the Liberal Platform, the Liberal Platform highlighted Akeredolu’s remarkable contributions to the state and the nation.

Arakunrin Akeredolu’s leadership was characterised by bold policies, significant infrastructural advancements, and a steadfast commitment to justice and equity.

During his time in office, Ondo State witnessed remarkable progress in governance, education, healthcare, and industrialisation, cementing his reputation as a statesman dedicated to public service.

As a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), Akeredolu was celebrated in the legal profession for his unwavering defence of the rule of law and democratic principles. Notably, his establishment of the Amotekun Corps in the South-West region to tackle insecurity remains one of his most enduring contributions, reflecting his determination to safeguard the welfare of the people.

On this solemn occasion, the Liberal Platform reflected on Akeredolu’s impactful leadership and expressed profound gratitude for his selfless service. They lauded his efforts in promoting economic growth, fostering unity, and enhancing the lives of the people of Ondo State, describing him as a beacon of inspiration.

“We extend our heartfelt sympathies to his family, friends, and the good people of Ondo State, who continue to feel the void left by his absence,” the statement read. “While we mourn his loss, we celebrate the indelible legacy he left behind—a legacy that will continue to inspire efforts in building a better society.”

In honour of Akeredolu’s memory, the group urged citizens to emulate his values of integrity, resilience, and inclusiveness. They called on all to work towards realising the vision and aspirations he had for Ondo State and beyond.

“As we mark this first anniversary, we reaffirm our commitment to preserving his ideals and ensuring that his contributions to Ondo State and Nigeria remain a source of guidance,” the statement concluded.

May his soul continue to rest in peace, and may his enduring legacy shine brightly in the hearts of all.
