Ondo State Government Reacts As Court Scraps 33 LCDAS

The Ondo State Government has reacted to the ruling of an Ondo State High Court nullifying the creation of 33 local council development areas by a former Governor of the state, late Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu.

The Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice of the state, Dr. Olukayode Ajulo (SAN) reacted to the judgement.

In a statement by his Media Assistant, Dele Sadiq Jobi, the Attorney General said he has promptly requested for the Certified True Copy of the judgment.

Ajulo said upon receipt, a meticulous study and analysis will be undertaken, culminating in a comprehensive legal opinion to the Government of Ondo State.

The statement added: “Subsequently, all necessary measures, in accordance with our laws, will be taken to safeguard the interests of our citizens, foster peaceful coexistence, and uphold the rule of law.

“The Honourable Attorney General remains steadfast in his commitment to prioritizing the well-being and welfare of our citizens, working tirelessly to ensure that justice and the law are served.”
