Ondo poll: Mass defection hits Gboluga’s stronghold as 268 youths join APC

268 youths in Ilutitun, the home town of Hon. Ikengboju Gboluga, the deputy governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), on Monday, decamped to the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC).

Starnews Nigeria reports that the youths were led by Hon. Arogbo Sunday to join the ruling APC when the campaign train of Akeredolu/Aiyedatiwa visited the town in Okitipupa local government Area of Ondo State.

Hon. Arogbo, a former PDP councillor from Ilutitun town who spoke on behalf of the youths at the rally, said Akeredolu’s performance in Ondo State was the reason they were supporting his reelection, thereby urging the governor to extend his good work to the people of his local government by restoring electricity back to Ondo South after a protracted blackout.

The decampees were received by the Lagos State governor, and the chairman of APC campaign council in Ondo State, Mr Babajide Sanwolu.
