Ondo Police Commissioner Visits Owo, Vows to Tackle Cultism

Wilfred Afolabi, the newly appointed Commissioner of Police in Ondo State, visited Owo on January 7, 2025, to assess the enforcement of the curfew imposed after violent clashes between rival cult groups.

The violence, which has claimed four lives, led to the curfew being declared in the community, TVC News reports.

During his visit, Afolabi toured Ehinogbe, the area where the conflict began, and assured the public that authorities would take decisive action against cultists and other criminals in the region.

He further stated that all arrests would undergo thorough investigations to determine their involvement in the violence.
