Ondo PDP guber aspirant, Akingboye mourns Akintelure 

 

Otunba Bamidele Akingboye OBA, a frontline Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Governorship Aspirant in Ondo State, has mourned the death of Dr. Paul Akintelure who was also an aspirant in ruling All Progressives Congress (APC)

This was contained in a statement issued by the media office of Akingboye.

The statement read, “in a powerful show of sympathy, Otunba Bamidele Akingboye OBA, a frontline Governorship Aspirant for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has released a statement mourning the untimely passing of Dr. Paul Akintelure, an esteemed medical doctor and Governorship Aspirant from the opposing All Progressives Congress (APC).

“Dr. Akintelure, who hailed from the same local government area as Otunba Akingboye, saw his life cut short in the early hours of Tuesday during a brief illness in Lagos. He had been preparing to participate in the APC’s gubernatorial primary slated for next month.

“In his statement, Otunba Akingboye paid tribute to his Ikale brother Dr. Akintelure’s dedication to public service and improving the lives of citizens, noting that while they belonged to different political parties, they shared a common goal of building a better future for their people and land.

“Dr. Akintelure brought passion, integrity and a wealth of experience to the political arena. His loss will be deeply felt across our state and Nigeria at large, transcending political divides,” Otunba Akingboye stated.

“He extended his heartfelt condolences to Dr. Akintelure’s family, loved ones, colleagues, party members and supporters, describing the late aspirant’s legacy of selfless service as one that will continue to inspire others, especially the people of Ondo state.

“We have truly lost a great son of Ikale, Ondo state and patriot ahead of the upcoming gubernatorial elections,” Otunba Akingboye
