The suspects, identified as Victor Chukwudi Amoke and Timilehin Abed, were apprehended at their hideout in Benue Hotel Area, Shasha Market, Oba Ile.
Daniel Aidamenbor, the NSCDC state spokesperson, disclosed this in Akure, stating that the duo were involved in the illicit trade of various narcotics within the state.

Aidamenbor further noted that both suspects confessed to the crime and would be handed over to the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) for further investigation and prosecution.
He emphasized, “The suspects have been handed over to the NDLEA for prosecution.”
Earlier, the NDLEA had raised concerns about the activities of drug addicts and peddlers in Akure, with Commander Kayoed Raji pledging to intensify efforts against drug dealers and curb drug-related crime in the state.
