Ondo North Youths Condemn Violence in Ose LGA, Demand Immediate Government Action

By Our Correspondent

The Ondo North Youth Alliance has strongly condemned the recent killing of two people and the kidnapping of several others in Ose Local Government Area, blaming security lapses for the violence.

The youth group is calling for immediate government intervention to address the deteriorating security situation.

In a press statement released on July 21, 2024, the Alliance expressed deep regret over the inadequate security measures in place before and after the incidents.

“The leadership of Ondo North Youth Alliance unequivocally condemns the recent violence in Ose LGA, including the killing of two individuals and the kidnapping of several others,” said Ojo Bright Eniafe, President of the Alliance.

The group criticized the response from security agencies and lamented the lack of sympathy from local authorities.

Despite recent efforts by Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa to bolster security with new vehicles, the Alliance noted that conditions in Ose LGA have worsened.

“We expect condemnations from all and sundry,” Eniafe stated.

The Alliance is demanding the immediate release of kidnapped victims, a state of emergency in Ose LGA, and improved security measures.

The group has given the government and security agencies a seven-day ultimatum to restore order or face lawful community actions. “Enough is enough,” Eniafe declared.

The Ondo North Youth Alliance’s demanded also include support for the families of the deceased and a comprehensive plan to eradicate insecurity in the region.
