Ondo Govt Confirms SSG’s Death, Mourns

The Government of Ondo State has expressed deep sorrow over the death of its Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Hon. Temitayo Oluwatuyi, who passed away on 4 January 2025.

Hon. Oluwatuyi succumbed to injuries sustained in a car accident on 15 December 2024. The accident occurred during his journey to Ibadan, leading to his hospitalisation.

In a statement released by Otunba ‘Wale Akinlosotu, the Commissioner for Information and Orientation, the state government described Hon. Oluwatuyi as a dedicated public servant who played a pivotal role in the administration.

“Hon. Oluwatuyi’s contributions to administrative coordination, policy advisory, and implementation greatly shaped Ondo State’s governance,” the statement noted.

His career included notable roles such as Chairman of Akure South Local Government, Commissioner, and two tenures as SSG, marking him as a key figure in the state’s development.

The government extended its heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, and associates, recognising his enduring legacy.

Details of the memorial arrangements will be announced in due course.
