Ondo Governor Supports Fallen Soldiers’ Widows with N35 Million

Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa of Ondo State provided N35 million to support 51 widows of fallen soldiers.

The funds were distributed under the Resettlement and Empowerment Loan Scheme during the Armed Forces Remembrance Day event on Wednesday.

Represented by his deputy, Olayide Adelami, the governor announced that the loan is interest-free, urging recipients to repay it to qualify for larger loans in the future.

He described the initiative as a way to honor fallen heroes and assist their families.

The event also aimed to empower the widows and provide them with resources to sustain their businesses and care for their families.

The governor assured beneficiaries of the government’s commitment to making the program accessible despite economic challenges.

Additionally, Aiyedatiwa pledged fairness for all political parties in the upcoming local government elections on Saturday.
