The Ondo State Government has issued a strong directive for the immediate return of its properties allegedly taken over by private individuals.
This follows concerns over the misuse of assets since the passing of former Governor Rotimi Akeredolu a year ago.
Attorney General and Justice Commissioner Kayode Ajulo stated that legal action awaits anyone who fails to comply.
He emphasized that some individuals have resisted efforts to address the situation, accusing the current administration of undermining Akeredolu’s legacy.
Ajulo also announced plans for a full audit of state assets to ensure public resources are appropriately managed.
The government has vowed to pursue legal accountability for any misappropriation to restore public trust and transparency.
