Ondo: BBO congratulates elected PDP executives, charges them on unity

One of the governorship aspirants in the just concluded Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship primaries in Ondo State, Banji Okunomo (BBO), has charged the newly elected Executive Members of the Party on the unity of the PDP.

Starnews NG reports that the PDP in Ondo State yesterday conducted its state congresses where the new members of the state executives were elected.

In a statement on Wednesday, Okunomo said: “I congratulate them for the well-deserved victory and the just concluded congress. It is very apt to remind them that the immediate task is in their hands into unifying the party by appeasing all the aggrieved party members, ensuring the culture of all-inclusiveness and to lead the party to victory come October 10, 2020.”

“The celebration of their victories must be reduced while serious efforts must be immediately geared towards healing all the wounds so as to position the party on a sound footing to be able to overcome the envisaged challenges of the governorship election ahead.”

“The new leadership is no doubt embodied by men and women of substance experiences and high political pedigrees, hence the confidence reposed on them.”

“I, therefore, congratulate them and wish them the best of luck”, Okunomo said.
