Otunba Bamidele Akingboye (OBA), a leading contender for the governorship seat in Ondo State under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) banner, is making strategic financial contributions to bolster the party’s grassroots structures.
This initiative is aimed at strengthening support and reinvigorate the organizational framework crucial for the PDP’s resurgence in the state’s political arena.
Akingboye’s approach involves allocating funds to enhance the operational capabilities of PDP structures at the local government, ward, and unit levels.
This funding facilitates important meetings, mobilization efforts, and administrative functions necessary for effective grassroots engagement.
During a comprehensive tour across the state’s three senatorial districts, Akingboye distributed the funds through the party’s leadership in each district.
Each senatorial district received an equitable allocation of four million naira, with a minimum of N500,000 designated for each local government area, to be further disbursed among the wards and units.
Integral to this initiative is Akingboye’s engagement with key stakeholders from various senatorial districts.
Through meetings with state and senatorial executives, local government chairpersons, and influential party figures, Akingboye advocates for revitalizing efforts to strengthen the PDP’s position in the state’s political landscape.
Expressing appreciation for party members’ commitment, Akingboye assured stakeholders of continued support until the PDP achieves success in the governorship race.
Starnews NG reports that he encouraged party leaders to remain steadfast and optimistic as they work towards common goals while emphasizing the importance of robust party finances and effective grassroots mobilization in achieving political objectives.
“This financial support is just the beginning of broader initiatives aimed at advancing the PDP’s interests and improving the lives of Ondo State residents”, he said.
