Ondo 2024: PDP clears Akingboye for guber race

The National Screening Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in Abuja has cleared Otunba Bamidele Akingboye, (OBA) to contest the 2024 Ondo State Gubernatorial Election on the party’s platform.

This was made known in a press release made available to Starnews NG on Wednesday, and signed by Oyeniyi Iwakun, the Media Adviser to Otunba Bamidele Akingboye.

According to the statement, the development affirms Akingboye’s eligibility and qualifications to represent the party in the forthcoming governorship poll in the state.

The statement reads, “In a pivotal moment, Otunba Bamidele Akingboye (OBA) has been cleared by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) National Screening Committee to contest the 2024 Ondo State Gubernatorial Election on the party’s platform.

“This milestone affirms OBA’s eligibility and qualifications to represent the PDP and potentially occupy the state’s highest office.

“Shortly after receiving his screening certificate, OBA urged PDP leaders, delegates, and members to rally behind his candidacy in the forthcoming primaries. He vowed unwavering preparedness and commitment to serving the people of Ondo State.”
