Segun Abraham, one of the governorship aspirants of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Unity Forum in Ondo State, has officially joined other three governorship aspirants of the group, to deny the purported endorsement of Chief Olusola Oke as the consensus candidate of the Unity Forum.
In response to a report peddling the announcement by the Unity Forum of a consensus candidate for the APC 2020 gubernatorial election; Abraham, in a statement on Tuesday by his Media Office, state as follows:
”Olusegun Abraham is not privy to any concocted decision about a consensus candidate.”
”From every indication, the aspirants have not and could not come to terms with the process set up for adoption of the consensus candidate, judging from the imbalanced, unilateral and unfortunately prejudiced arrangement of its committee.”
”While consultations remain ongoing, we are assured, and hence, assure all party faithful and the good people of Ondo state, that the party, the All Progressives Congress and the Unity Forum, will deploy a credible process to produce a credible candidate to represent the party at the 2020 Ondo gubernatorial election.”
”To this end, we enjoin all party faithful to rightfully discard the report as totally fallacious and misinforming, and hence, remain focused on the party’s charge towards embracing credibility, ” the statement said.
