- Stop dishing out photoshop pictures, he lambasted APC
Hon. Tajudeen defisoye, a member of Social Democratic Party (SDP), representing Ifedore/Idanre federal constituency of Ondo State at the Federal House of Representatives, said on Friday, that he never at any point in time endorsed Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu for second term.
In a release by Richard Adeyemi, the Senior Legislative Aide to Adefisoye, the lawmaker said it is a wicked rumour for anyone to circulate such information on the social media.
”Our attention has been drawn to a photoshop re-election endorsement picture of Arakunrin Rotimi Akeredolu by Hon. Tajudeen Adefisoye which is currently circulating on the social media.”
”Nothing could be further from the truth than this wicked rumour. Truth is no such picture was taken with Governor Akeredolu in recent time as Hon. Adefisoye is on overseas vacation at the moment. Therefore someone that is not in Nigeria at the moment could not have taken any picture of endorsement with Arakunrin Akeredolu.”
”However, we want to assure the general public that as soon as Hon. Adefisoye returns to Nigeria from his vacation, he will meet with all the concerned stakeholders in the federal constituency to collectively take a decision on a governorship candidate to support. We also want to doubly assure everyone that overwhelming victory is certain to be delivered in Idanre and Ifedore to the governorship candidate that the stakeholders eventually decide to support.”
”It is also important to debunk the unfounded information being bandied around that Hon. Adefisoye collected N10 million to withdraw the participation of SDP from the council election in Idanre Local Government Area. This rumor is quite ridiculous because it is a public knowledge that SDP chose to opt out of the council election in Idanre to avoid further blood shed and loss of properties in the town.”
”Moreso, it is a fact that Hon. Adefisoye is a successful businessman with massive war chest. The rumour of N10 million bribe is laughable and therefore portends an insult on the person of Hon. Adefisoye.”
”Meanwhile, supporters of APC are enjoined to refrain from dishing out photoshop pictures and await official statement from Hon. Adebusoye.”
