New Manchester United goalkeeper, Andre Onana has come out to speak on the goal he conceded today against Lens in the friendly game played at Old Trafford this afternoon. Manchester United took on Lens and beat them 3-1 at Old Trafford, but the main talking point of the game was Onana who was caught over 20 yards off his line in Len’s first goal of the game.
Speaking on that blunder in a post match interview on Manchester United TV, Onana acknowledged that the mistake was his and he will personally take the blame for everything. In his own words…
““I’m responsible for everything. I’m the big man at the back so I take all the critics and all the pressure for me.”
On his debut at Old Trafford today, Onana said it was a great experience and a great welcome to him from the fans.
“Great experience, so happy to play here. A great welcome for me, very warm. I’m happy, especially the victory.”
The former Ajax goalkeeper will now hope the win gives him confidence heading into the new season and the blunder today will not repeat itself in the coming weeks.
