Okunomo defeats Olusola Oke, 3 others to emerge most popular aspirant in Ilaje after online poll

Leading Governorship Aspirant of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Ondo State, Banji Okunomo, has been declared the winner of an opinion poll conducted on Facebook to know the most popular governorship aspirants from Ilaje local government Area of Ondo State.

Starnews NG reports that Okunomo was declared winner of the opinion poll on Friday after defeating Chief Olusola Oke of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and the trio of Chief Olusola Ebiseni, Chief Godday Erewa and Prince Ola Mafo of the opposition PDP in Ondo State to emerge the winner of the opinion poll conducted by Adunni Onigege Ara, a Social Media operator on Thursday.

“I conducted an Opinion poll 24hrours ago. The Poll came with a lot of comments and all. I can boldly tell you that we had a winner. Someone came out as the most popular candidate.
”I can tell you that after reading through comments, I realised that our people want a young, vibrant, energetic leader that they can hold accountable.

“Someone they can hold by the balls, when he makes leadership mistakes. I didn’t vote, the people did and they chose Hon Banji Ben Okunomo.”

“I hope they do more than a social media campaign for him. To all those that voted in the poll, thank you. And to all the contestants, you got work to do and I wish you all the best of luck.”

”P.S. This is plainly a social media exercise to know the thoughts of our people here. Not a sponsored advertisement. I just felt like knowing the thoughts of our people towards their candidates”  Adunni wrote on her Facebook wall while declaring Okunomo as the winner of the opinion poll.
