Ogun State Government has announced plans to recruit 500 additional operatives into the Amotekun Corps as part of efforts to bolster security across the state.
Governor Dapo Abiodun has approved the recruitment exercise, which is scheduled to commence on Monday, March 10, 2025.
The development comes barely two months after 690 newly trained Amotekun personnel completed their training. Commander of the Amotekun Corps, Brigadier General Alade Adedigba (rtd), disclosed that the initiative aligns with the government’s commitment to strengthening security in all parts of the state.
Interested applicants have been directed to submit their applications free of charge via the official website, ogunstateamotekun.com.ng, before the deadline on Friday, April 4, 2025.
The recruitment process will include a rigorous screening exercise scheduled to hold between Tuesday, April 22, and Thursday, May 1, 2025.
The state government has assured residents that the recruitment drive will further enhance security and safeguard communities. Eligible individuals have been urged to seize the opportunity to contribute to the safety of lives and property in the state.
