Officer Weeps as Police Dismiss Him For Misconduct

On Wednesday, 30th August, two police officers who were formally attached to Dumne Divisional Police Headquarters, were tried by the Adamawa State Police Command and found them guilty on a three count charges.

These officers (Insp. Ahmed Suleiman and PC Mahmood Muhammed), were tried on Discreditable Conduct to wit Defamation of Character, Culpable Homicide and Unlawful exercise of Authority Contrary to paragraph ‘E’(I)(iii) and ‘Q’(I) (iii) of First Schedule of Police Act and Regulations, Section 370, 2020 as Amended and were found guilty of the charges. Both officers and other suspects involved will be charged to court according to the Adamawa State Police Command.

The video of the trial has gone viral online and it showed that the Nigerian Police Force are really working hard to stop unlawful acts in the country. The video was posted online by an Instagram blog page known as “lindaikejiblogofficial” and the video has got Nigerians talking from the moment it surfaced online.

In the video, the guilty officer was de-kitted and as he was being de-kitted, he wept profusely. Hence, the other officer will be de-kitted after all administrative procedures has been met. However, other officers and Men of the Command have been advised to learn from the event and shun all offences that are against the discipline.

The Commissioner of Police CP Afolabi Babatola addressed police officers and tasked them to be punctual and shun all Offences against Discipline.
