Oborevwori Denies Defection Rumours

Governor Sheriff Oborevwori of Delta State, through his Chief Press Secretary, Sir Festus Ahon, has dismissed rumours claiming that the Governor plans to leave the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).

Ahon clarified on Monday in Asaba that these claims were fabricated by opposition figures threatened by Oborevwori’s growing popularity and efforts to unite different political groups.

The Governor, he affirmed, remains firmly in the PDP, enjoying wide support from both party members and the people of Delta State.

Oborevwori’s focus remains on fulfilling his campaign promises through the MORE Agenda and collaborating with the federal government for the betterment of the state and the country, Vanguard reports.

Deltans have been advised to disregard the false rumours, which he described as the work of political disruptors.
