PDP Vanguard, a group under the opposition People’s Democratic Party (PDP), has quoted former President Olusegun Obasanjo to have said that the man in Abuja as the President of Nigeria is an impostor and not the real President Muhammadu Buhari Nigerians voted as President in 2015 election.
In a tweet, PDP Vanguard, quoted former President Obasanjo to have said that:
“I will prefer God to punish me than keep quiet for an impostor (Buhari) to destroy Nigeria”.
Recall that former president Obasanjo recently added his voice to the rumour making the round about the allegation of double identity of President Buhari raised by Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) at the installation of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)’s presidential aspirant, Atiku Abubakar, as Turakin Adamawa , asking President Buhari to publicly address the allegations.
Obasanjo gave the following words few weeks ago:
“No matter how long we choose to feign ignorance, the news of a stranger running the affairs of Nigeria has gained international attention. “I have in the past few weeks received calls from different world leaders and some concerned global investors who sought for my response over this issue which is currently being talked about in almost every home in the country.
“Fake news is real, but this story, whether false or true can only be put to rest by the accused who happens to be President Muhammadu Buhari,”the statement added.
However, few minutes ago, PDP Vanguard posted another shocking statement credited to former president Obasanjo where they alleged that Obasanjo called president Buhari an impostor.
Similar allegations raised by Kanu had in the past be corrobated by Reno Omkri and chief Femi Fani Kayode who were both former Presidential advisers under past administrations.
The recent revelations by PDP Vanguard has generated another uproar on tweeter.
This latest tweet by PDP Vanguard has renewed the atmosphere of suspicions, tensions and the rhetorics of how true about the claim that the original Buhari is dead.
