O.C General Unity Cup Kicks Off In Okitipupa, Ondo

**As construction of borehole, toilets and bathrooms begin at Okitipupa government field

The most anticipated O.C General Unity Cup for teams across the six Local Governments of Ondo South Senatorial District has commenced on Wednesday in Okitipupa, headquarters of Okitipupa Local Government Area of Ondo State.

Starnews Nigeria reports that the opening ceremony had in attendance residents and soccer enthusiastic across the zone, including Senior High Chief Idowu Asonja, the Ondo State Commandant of Tantita Security Services who declared the football match opened.

At the opening fixtures held at the Government field in Okitipupa and officiated by Adeyemi Famakinwa, SENEGA LTECH locked horns with PEACK FC, which ended in 1-0 in favour of the Senega.

In continuation of the tournament, Starnews Nigeria reports that Layelu FC will tackle Daniken FC today, Thursday, November 16, 2023, at the same venue by 4 PM.

Meanwhile, in his usual benevolent gesture, the sponsor of the football competition, Bidemi Joshua Obayangban, popularly known as O.C General, has similarly begun the construction of water-pumping system (borehole) and the construction of Toilets and Bathrooms for the government field, Okitipupa, Ondo State.

In a telephone interview with Starnews Nigeria, Mr Obayangban said he was disappointed to know there was no Water, Toilets and Bathrooms in the government field, hence, he decided to provide them.

“Despite its age long existence, I was disappointed when I visited the government field, I could not believe it has no water, toilets and bathrooms. This is why I decided to provide these basic needs for my people”, Obayangban said.
