The Special Assistant to the Governor on Forestry, Hon. Bidemi Joshua Obayangban, popularly known as O.C General, has extended heartfelt felicitations to Muslims across the country on the joyous occasion of Eid-el-Fitri, marking the successful completion of the holy month of Ramadan.
In a statement personally signed by him, Obayangban expressed gratitude to Almighty Allah for granting Muslims the strength to observe the sacred month of fasting, prayer, and charity.
He described Ramadan as a period of deep spiritual rejuvenation, reflection, and devotion, commending the Muslim faithful for their steadfastness in upholding the principles of Islam.
“Assalamu alaikum, dear Muslim brothers and sisters. On behalf of myself and my family, I extend warmest greetings and felicitations to you all on the occasion of Eid-el-Fitri, as we mark the end of Ramadan, the holy month of fasting,” Obayangban stated.
He prayed for divine acceptance of the sacrifices made during the period, seeking Almighty Allah’s blessings, mercy, and guidance upon individuals, families, communities, and the nation at large.
He also called for the sustenance of the values of Ramadan, urging the faithful to continue embodying compassion, empathy, and selflessness beyond the holy month.
“Eid-el-Fitri is a celebration of love, kindness, and generosity. It is a time to strengthen bonds with family and friends, and to extend a hand of friendship and compassion to those in need. Let us strive to build a society that is just, equitable, and peaceful,” he remarked.
He further urged the Muslim community to use the occasion to pray for the progress and stability of the nation, stressing the importance of unity and collective effort in fostering a harmonious society.
While wishing all Muslims a joyous celebration, Obayangban reaffirmed his commitment to serving the people diligently, extending his best wishes for happiness, joy, and fulfillment on this special occasion.
