In readiness for the 2022/2023 Nigeria Professional Football League season, Sunshine Stars of Akure has named a new coach for the season.
Coach Deji Ayeni started last season with the club and left mid-season to join Akwa United and the management of the club named Cameroonian Emmanuel Deutsch who steer the club until the end of the season.
They decided not to extend his contract and choose to name a new manager.
The management on Monday announced coach Edith Olmide Agoye has the head coach of the team going into the new season.
Former Esperance of Tunisi player was in charge of Shooting Stars last season and resigned his appointment last week.
The Akure Gunners finished last season in the mid-table and will hope to secure a continental ticket in the new season
