NNPP Responds to Atiku’s Call for Alliance with APC , LP

In response to former Vice President Atiku Abubakar’s appeal for opposition parties to unite, the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) expressed openness to forming alliances, including with the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

Abba Kawu Ali, the party’s acting National Chairman, conveyed this stance in a recent press release, appreciating Atiku’s call as commendable. He highlighted the success of a similar initiative in 2015, which united opposition parties to overcome the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Our party unequivocally welcomes collaboration, alliance, or any arrangement with political entities such as PDP, Labour Party, and APC, provided it serves the best interests of Nigerians and safeguards our democracy,” Ali stated.

Currently assessing the national sentiment and political climate, Ali emphasized NNPP’s readiness to engage with any political party for discussions on arrangements prioritising the well-being of Nigerians, democracy, and the country’s accelerated and sustainable development.

In studying the country’s mood, NNPP remains receptive to initiatives from any political party, willing to discuss arrangements that protect our people, our democracy, and contribute to our nation’s accelerated and sustainable development,” Ali added.
