NNPP Emerges Victorious In Kano State LG Election

The New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) has achieved a comprehensive victory in the recently concluded local government elections across Kano State, winning all chairmanship and councillorship seats in each of the 44 local government areas.

Sani Malumfashi, Chairman of the Kano Independent Electoral Commission (KANSIEC), announced the results at the commission’s headquarters, declaring NNPP the winner in all contested areas.

The election saw participation from six political parties and was conducted peacefully across the state.

During a press briefing, Malumfashi commended the smooth conduct of the process, emphasizing that no incidents of violence or electoral malpractice were reported.

“We are pleased to declare that the NNPP has secured all chairmanship and councillorship positions across Kano’s 44 local government areas. The election was orderly and transparent, with no reported incidents of violence,” Malumfashi stated.

Observers have lauded the election as a milestone for Kano, applauding the effective organization and security measures that contributed to an incident-free electoral process.
