NLC reveals when Ondo Workers Will Receive New Minimum Wage

By Our Correspondent

Civil servants in Ondo State are set to receive their November salaries, including the newly approved N73,000 minimum wage this week.

This update came from the Ondo chapter of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), which confirmed that the delay in payment was due to a technical error that has now been resolved.

Despite a planned national strike by the NLC and the Trade Union Congress over delayed wage implementation in other states, Ondo workers will not participate as arrangements with the state government are finalized.

The payment fulfills Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa’s earlier promise to implement the new wage starting in November 2024.

Both state and local government employees will benefit from the adjustment, marking progress in efforts to improve worker welfare in the region.
