Nigerians have taken to the social media to attack Bashir Ahmad, Special Assistant on Digital Communication to Former President Muhammadu Buhari on his recent post lamenting the hike in fuel price nationwide.
Ahmad in his post said, “The fuel price increment is approximately from N680 to N890, yet transport fares have surged by 50%. What can we call this? Certainly anything but fair. There is no fairness in it at all.”
His post has generated mixed reactions from Nigerians who are currently boiling with the recent fuel hike which has exacerbated transport fares nationwide.
One Raymond in his reaction said, “Mr Dunce. Fuel is sold N910 to N1,200 depending on where you are buying from meanwhile it’s not even readily available. Why am I wasting my time with an illiterate?”

In his reaction, Ubong Abia said, “Putting the blame wrongly just to sound good, but you sound stewpeed!”
“I’m here to tell People who are new on Twitter NG and that are thinking Bashir is advocating for their good. Please don’t allow this man f00l you. He is one of the reasons why Nigeria is currently in this mess”, reacted Nwafresh.
“Bashir, your Party has destroyed Nigeria, you protested against PDP at N87,” Ogbuagu.
“You’re a very despicable human being. This was you some years back occupying Nigeria when fuel was 65 naira,” FG Studios247.
In his comment, Mr Junior Ebong said, “From 680 to 890 is fair increment right? Something is definitely wrong with the components of your.”
The comment didn’t go down well with one Unknown Tech Guy, who said, “You are a bl00dy cow@rd Bashir, your likes will never know peace till you depart this world to hell where you rightly belong.”

Transport fares in many parts of Nigeria have skyrocketed with many car owners abandoning their vehicles to board public transport due to inability to afford the new increment in fuel price.
Meanwhile, there has not been any positive response yet from the presidency on the new hike after the ministry of petroleum resources denied a few days ago that it did not authorize NNPCL to increase the pump price of petrol.
