Nigerian referee Features in Fifa Tournament for the first time in 19years

Fifa badged referee Mimisen Iyorhe became first Nigerian referee to feature in any fifa Organized tournament for the first time in 19years.

The Benue state lady was the assistant to South African’s Akhona Makalima in Japan vs Netherlands in the ongoing FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in Costa Rica.

Mimisen Iyorhe was the assistant referee 1 at the final game between South Africa and Morocco at WAFCON 2022

It would be recalled that Chukwudi chukwujekwu was the last Nigerian referee to feature in any fifa Organized tournament

He was selected for the 2001 fifa U-17 world cup in Trinidad and Tobago.
