With Venezia relegated to the Serie B, out-of- favour Super Eagles defender Tyronne Ebuhei on Tuesday completed a move to Empoli, reports BSNSports.com.ng.
The Italian Serie A club announced that the Nigerian have signed a deal keeping at him at the Stadio Carlo Castellani till the summer of 2025.
“Empoli Football Club announces that it has definitively acquired from Benfica the right to sports performance of Tyronne Ebuhei; the player has signed a contract until June 30, 2025.
“Tyronne Ebuehi is a defender with Nigerian and Dutch nationality and born in Haarlem on 16 December 1995. Raised in the youth system of DSOV, Hoofddorp, Young Boys, HFC EDO Zaterdag and ADO Den Haag, as he latter made his debut in the Eredivisie at the age of 19 with ADO Den Haag.
“In 2018 he moved to Benfica who after two seasons went on loan to Twente, where he made 34 appearances in his second spell in the Dutch Eredivisie. In the summer of 2021, the Nigerian went on loan to Venezia in Serie A where he played 19 games,” a statement from Empoli read.
