The Nigerian equities market has extended its bullish run, with investors gaining approximately ₦652 billion in market value as sustained buying interest in major stocks pushed the market higher late Tuesday, September 15, 2026.

Trading data showed that the total market capitalisation increased from ₦157.747 trillion to ₦158.399 trillion, representing a gain of about 0.41 per cent. The NGX All-Share Index also climbed 1,005.27 points, rising from 243,299.24 to 244,304.51 points.

The latest performance marked the fourth consecutive positive trading session for Nigerian equities and lifted the market’s year-to-date return to 56.99 per cent.

Buying interest was particularly strong in NGX Group, Aradel Holdings, Nigerian Breweries, Oando, Zenith Bank, Access Holdings and other major equities. NGX Group led the gainers, rising 9.95 per cent to ₦179 per share, while Aradel Holdings gained 9.62 per cent.

Market breadth also improved, with 34 stocks gaining against 26 decliners.

Trading activity strengthened as investors exchanged 520.65 million shares worth ₦37.14 billion in 71,977 deals. Aradel Holdings recorded the highest transaction value at ₦6.35 billion, while MBENEFIT led trading volume with 39.01 million shares.

The rally comes as investors continue to position themselves in major equities, even as the Dangote Petroleum Refinery IPO competes for domestic investment funds. The IPO opened on September 14 at ₦525 per share.

With the NGX continuing to post strong gains, investors are also watching liquidity, corporate earnings and possible profit-taking as the market advances.
