In reactions to the recent comments made by Betty Akeredolu, wife of the late Governor of Ondo state, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, describing Nigeria as a ‘zoo’, while criticising the All Progressives Congress, APC gubernatorial primary election held in Ondo state, Nigerians have reacted to the news, faulting the former first lady’s comments.
Starnews NG reports that Betty Akeredolu, expressed displeasure over the Ondo APC governorship primary election, describing the incidences of violence and irregularities that marred the elections in some local government areas as unprecedented and terrible.
Reacting on Fowoso WhatsApp platform on Sunday morning, Betty wrote:
“What happened yesterday at the primaries was unprecedented. It was terrible! Never experienced that kind of kangaroo and fraudulent primaries in Ondo State in the last 7 years.
“It was like Aketi’s adversaries have succeeded in urinating on his grave with relish. The hands of professional election riggers known and unknown were all over the place.
“Without credible elections, Nigeria will continue to crawl with disabilities in leadership given that the power interlopers at the helm of affairs lack character, compassion, sincerity of purpose, mental and intellectual capacities for providing quality leadership required to stand firm and engage in impactful developmental strides.
“It will interest you to note that, throughout the election cycles during Aketi’s time, elections were relatively free and fair. Though tension soaked yet interesting to be involved or watch. No thuggery, (Aketi was known for NOT encouraging thuggery), voters voted in peace without molestation.
“Go and verify as Peter Obi would say. I make bold to say that Nigeria witnessed peace and decorum in the conduct of elections in Ondo State while Aketi was the Governor. Imagine, PDP won 2 MHA seats in Akoko and Aketi didn’t upturn them.
“I remember party stalwarts wanted him to reverse the results to favour APC but he refused stating that it was the choice of the constituents. I was very proud of my husband because that’s how things should be if we were in a sane clime.
“Sadly Nigeria is a ZOO! It is heartbreaking that the positive changes in the conduct of elections that Aketi nurtured for 7 years have been thrown to the dogs. Thuggery is back in Ondo State politics with vengance. Beeni! Big time!!!”
Reacting to the late Akeredolu’s widow’s comments, Kolade Femi Love said, “Of course nigeria is a zoo and Betty is the only animal in the zoo.”
Bukku Abike Oluderu’s reaction reads, “U are the beginning and end of that urination. So please keep quiet mama. You have NO voice anymore, u failed all women who have integrity in Ondo State😢😢😢
Ti mo ba tun gbo pim lenu yin ma. I will lead protest that will teach u how to keep quiet after u have remarried to fine gentleman, a Prof for that matter.

Muyiwa Olabode berated the ex-first day saying, “U are still suffering the pains of ur loss on the senatorial ambition, sorry Betty. Well, this is how we rigged ur Husband in d other time so u have eaten from rigging. u need to keep ur mouth shut as ur stooge has lost ok.”
Tee Jay also commented stating that, “🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣, Betty turn to saint.”
Robert Olanrewaju said, “That means she leaves in zoo as well.”
Ola’s comment reads, “What is really your interest in ONDO STATE political affairs again? You are an ex now.”
Loud active replied, “Family of zoo🤣🤣🤣.
In his opinion, Oladiran commented, “This woman wahala sef too much.”
“Wailers and arant nonsense, they believe they will forever hold Ondo state in perpetual bondage and slavery,” Kuye Olatunde yelled.

Femi Ibitoye comment reads, “Why promoting this woman with her jargon. She is suffering and pained for been out of power(powerphonia).”
“Go to hell!” Adebowale Adesida retorted.
