NAOSS Urges Fast-Tracking of Bursary Scheme to Alleviate Students’ Hardship

The Senate President of the National Association of Ondo State Students (NAOSS), Ayomide Rufus, has praised Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa for his commitment to student welfare and has called for the expedited processing of the Student Bursary and Scholarship scheme.

He believes that such action would significantly ease the financial burdens faced by students in Ondo State.

Rufus made the appeal on July 20, 2024, during the 29th NAOSS National Senate Sitting at Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU).

He stressed the critical need for timely financial support for students amidst the prevailing economic challenges affecting many families in the state.

By fast-tracking the bursary and scholarship payments, the Governor would show a strong commitment to supporting the educational advancement of Ondo State students.

“We urge the Ondo State Government, under the leadership of His Excellency Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, to expedite the payment of bursary and scholarship funds. This move would significantly alleviate the financial pressures on our students,” Ayomide Rufus stated.

Students across Ondo State are eagerly awaiting the Governor’s response, hoping for swift action to provide the necessary financial relief and support for their academic endeavors.
