My Mom Was ‘A Baddie’– Davido

Afrobeats star, David Adeleke popularly known as Davido, has praised his late mother, Veronica Hailey Imade Adeleke, as “a baddie” in a recent Instagram tribute.

The award-winning singer posted a photo of his mother in her university academic regalia, captioning it, “My mom was a baddie.”

Mrs. Veronica Adeleke passed away at 39 on March 6, 2003. She was a lecturer at Babcock University, where Davido later earned a degree in music. A staunch supporter of her son’s career, she founded Davido’s Band in his honor. Davido’s daughters, Imade and Hailey, are named after her.
