Ministerial Appointment: Ondo Group lauds Tinubu’s Choice of Bunmi Tunji-Ojo

The Ondo State Grand Alliance for Development has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, over the Choice of member representing the Akoko North East/Akoko North West Federal Constituency of Ondo State in the Federal House of Representatives, Honorable Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, as the Ministerial Nominee for the State, into the incoming Federal Executive Council.

In a statement issued on Friday and jointly signed by the President and the Secretary of the Group, Olufemi Lawson and Akinuli Ayodeji, the group said not only did the appointment of Honorable Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo meet the expectation of the State, “it also signified, a turning point, in the traditional approach by successive administration, in their choice of person, who assist the President, in the discharge of the responsibilities, for which he has been elected by Nigerians.

“As the world grapples with complex challenges, the importance of nurturing and empowering young leaders has become increasingly evident. President Tinubu’s decision to appoint the young Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo among the new federal ministers is a clear indication of the President’s commitment to fostering a new generation of leaders who can spearhead innovative solutions and drive positive change, in line with the Renewed Hope Agenda of the administration.” the statement further read

The group further said the inclusion of the Ondo State Ministerial nominee Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo in the incoming Federal Executive Council, will inevitably ensure the emergence of an Executive Council, with a diverse background and a wealth of fresh perspectives. “Having come from a non-traditional political career, BTO as a young person at an early age, has excelled in his chosen field of Information Communication Technology, demonstrating remarkable leadership and problem-solving skills. His expertise in areas such as technology, entrepreneurship, and Leadership is expected to inject vitality into the government’s policies and initiatives.

“With the appointment of BTO and other young persons by President Tinubu, the President has sent a strong signal about the importance of youth representation and engagement in governance. By placing faith in the capabilities of the younger generation, the President is not only fostering inclusivity but also ensuring that the decisions made reflect the interests and concerns of Nigerian youth.

“While appreciating President Bola Tinubu, we wish to remind Hon. BTO, that to whom, much is given, much is expected.
