A man named Useim Hamadu appeared before the Iyaganku Magistrates’ Court in Ibadan on Wednesday, accused of injuring another individual on the head, hand, and ear.
Hamadu pleaded not guilty to charges of conspiracy and causing grievous harm.
According to the prosecutor, Elisha Tellang, the incident occurred on May 25 in Elebu, Ibadan, where Hamadu allegedly used a cutlass to inflict serious injuries on a man identified as Mr. Isaiah.
The prosecutor emphasized that Hamadu’s actions endangered public peace, violating sections 516 and 249(d) of the Criminal Laws of Oyo State, 2000.
Magistrate M. Olagbenro granted the defendant bail in the sum of N300,000 with two sureties of the same amount.
The case was scheduled for further hearing on June 26.
