Man lynched for stabbing POS operator to death

In the Wukari Local Government Area of Taraba State, a man was set on fire by a mob after he stabbed a female Point of Sale (POS) operator to death.

The victim, an 18-year-old young woman, was preparing to take her NECO exams at the time of the tragic event.

The incident occurred on Monday near the Wukari Yam market. Enraged by the man’s actions, local residents pursued and caught him before setting him ablaze.

Ismaila Dauda, the Chairman of Wukari LGA, confirmed the incident to reporters.

According to him, “It is true one young man stabbed a POS operator to death on Monday, June 17.

“He was pursued, caught, and lynched by a mob. It is a sad incident because the POS operator, who was an 18-year-old girl, was preparing to write her NECO exams before her untimely death.”

The spokesperson of the State Police Command, DSP Gambo Kwache, also confirmed the incident.
