Lookman Wins CAF 2024 Men’s Award

Super Eagles forward, Ademola Lukuman has won the Confederation of Africa Football, (CAF) Men’s Award for 2024.

Ademola got the award at the event held in Palais des Congrès in Marrakech, Morocco on Monday evening.

The Super Eagles of Nigeria forward shook off competitions from South Africa’s Ronwen Williams, Cote d’Ivoire’s Simon Adingra, Achraf Hakimi of Morocco, and Guinea striker Serhou Guirassy to win the prize.

His win means the award remains in Nigeria after teammate Victor Osimhen won it last year.

“Playing for Nigeria was a big turning point in my career,” Lookman said after receiving the award.

Lookman switched nationality from England to Nigeria in 2022.

The Atalanta striker was in stellar performance for his club side both in the Italia Serie A and Europa League, winning the later last season.

He was also awarded the Atalanta player of the season after helping his team win the Europa League in 2023)24 season.
