On the global stage, London was ranked as the world’s best city brand, with a score of 84.6%, followed by New York and Paris with scores of 83.0% and 79.7% respectively.
The ranking was based on a global survey of nearly 15,000 members of the public conducted in April 2023 across 20 countries on all continents. The survey aimed to measure perceptions of the world’s top 100 cities.
David Haigh, the Chairman and CEO of Brand Finance, attributed London’s exceptional performance to its global familiarity, which allowed the city to draw significant economic benefits from migration, investment, and tourism.
Overall, the ranking reflects the positive perceptions and desirability of cities among the global population.
