Lagos PDP vows to reclaim power in 2025 LG polls

The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Lagos State has expressed strong optimism about its prospects in upcoming elections, particularly the 2025 Local Government Elections.

At a special meeting with party leaders, including Zamani Muhammed and Olubankole Wellington (Banky W), Daniel Alao, Chairman of PDP LGAs’ Secretaries in Lagos State, underscored the importance of party unity. “We need to unite to secure Lagos for the benefit of both residents and businesses in the state,” he said.

Alao acknowledged past errors but remained confident in the party’s ability to overcome them and succeed in future elections.

He urged all stakeholders to set aside differences and focus on the party’s advancement, stating, “The public is eager for the PDP, and progress cannot be made amid chaos and division.”

Regarding internal factions, Alao noted existing disagreements but stressed the necessity of unity, asserting, “Togetherness is the key to winning.”

He expressed strong confidence in the party’s potential for the 2025 Local Government Elections, predicting that the results would be significant if the party unites and asserts itself.

“If we don’t secure a majority in all the LGA chairmanships, our influence will still make a significant impact on the current system,” Alao added.
