By Bayero Ade

A woman has come forward with allegations that popular Nigerian socialite, Egungun of Lagos, asked her to meet him at a hotel in exchange for an introduction to singer Zlatan, amidst the ongoing controversy surrounding a leaked bedroom video.

AFRIPOST recalls that Egungun’s wife recently took to social media, claiming her husband was being blackmailed after a private tape of him was leaked, sparking a cheating scandal.

The woman, identified as @theboujeegirlie on X, shared her story on the platform, claiming that Egungun invited her to a hotel in Surulere back in 2020, when they were both students at the University of Lagos. She alleged that the meeting was supposed to serve as an opportunity for him to introduce her to Zlatan.

In her post, @theboujeegirlie wrote:

“Egungun of Lagos told me to come to a hotel in Surulere because he wanted to introduce me to Zlatan??? God will punish that boy sehh.

For context: We were at Unilag together, and this happened in 2020, right after Zlatan had promoted him in his masquerade costume. He came to my hostel on my birthday, and we even had a viral video together, lmaoo.

At the time, I was actively pursuing a music career, and we had become acquaintances after the viral video. He wanted to ‘introduce me to Zlatan’ at a hotel in Surulere, lmaoo.”

The claims have added fuel to the ongoing controversy surrounding Egungun, who is facing scrutiny over the leaked tape and the accompanying cheating scandal.
