The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, on Friday asked the congregants to pray to God to kill him before the rise of the sun the next day.
He stated this when dishing out prayer points at the Redemption City of God on Friday night during the yearly Convention of the RCCG.
Naija News reports that the revered preacher mounted the podium to lead the congregation in prayer before he began his sermon for the day.
While speaking, Adeboye said his attention was drawn to some publications on the internet where some so-called prophets, clerics and groups of persons are alleging that there are some demons in the camp that he (Adeboye) consult before mounting the alter to preach and prophesy to his members.
Pastor Adeboye said usually, he wouldn’t mind people spreading such rumours. However, he said while he was praying for the convention, it occurred to him that even some of his members may have believed the rumours spreading like wildfire.
The RCCG general overseer said on the podium that ‘it has to be settled this night’, referring to the rumours.
In a bid to end the rumours, the revered cleric asked the congregants to pray thus; “If Pastor Adeboye has any link with any demonic powers, let him die before the sun rises.
“But if he is using your power, multiply the powers by seven folds”.
