Katsina State Governor, Dikko Umaru Radda, has revealed that he will rely on divine support when seeking re-election in 2027, responding to critics who expect him to seek their approval.
According to Afripost, speaking to All Progressives Congress (APC) members at the Government House ahead of the February 15 local council elections, Radda emphasized that his mandate was a gift from God, and when the time comes, he will turn to God for guidance.
In his remarks, delivered in Hausa, he stated: “Some have said that after four years, I will come back to them. But who told you I’m returning to you? I will return to the One (God) who gave me this mandate in 2023 to seek re-election in 2027.”
Governor Radda also declared that election rigging, including ballot box manipulation, is now a thing of the past. He urged APC members to focus on mobilizing voters to ensure the party’s success in the upcoming elections.
