Kalasuwe distances self from politics, debunks Jimoh Ibrahim’s endorsement news

His Royal Majesty, Oba Sunday Adejimola Amuseghan, Lawe II, the Kalasuwe of Apoi land, has debunked the endorsement claim of the Ondo South Senatorial candidate of the APC, Dr Jimoh Ibrahim by some bloggers and social media practitioners.

In a statement by the palace on Monday, signed by the palace’s spokesman, Chief Henry Ogbemerun Esq, the Bamofin of Apoiland, Kalasuwe said that he remains a father to all political parties and politicians, adding that he will not in any circumstance descend into the murky waters of politics by endorsing any candidate or political party.

A copy of the statement which was sent to Starnews Nigeria on Tuesday reads, “the attention of the palace of Kalasuwe of Apoiland, Oba Deacon (Prof.) Sunday Adejimola Amuseghan, Lawe II has been drawn to the claim of endorsement of the Ondo South Senatorial candidate of the APC, Dr Jimoh Ibrahim by some bloggers and social media practitioners.

“The palace could have ignored the report and dismissed same, but with the torrents of inquiries by some credible media houses seeking clarification before publishing and the need to put the record straight, this reaction becomes imperative.

“As a royal father, Kalasuwe is a father to all, he welcomes all, he belongs to all and prays for all. He will not in any circumstance descend into the murky waters of politics as he is not a politician.

“All political parties and their candidates are free to visit the palace for blessings, this is what Kalasuwe represents.

“For emphasis, Kalasuwe does not and cannot belong to any political party and could not have endorsed any candidate or political party in the public
