JUST IN: Organized labour shutdown Nigerian ports following indefinite strike

Following the directive from the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and the Trade Union Congress of Nigeria (TUC), the Maritime Workers Union of Nigeria (MWUN) has suspended port operations across the country.

Aside from the ports in Lagos, all other port facilities in locations such as Port Harcourt, Warri, Onne, and Calabar have been shut down, a union official informed Vanguard.

The official added that these ports will remain closed until further instructions are received from the national organized labor leadership.
