First Bank has announced the extension of the suspension of processing fees on cash deposits until 30 September 2024.

This decision comes in alignment with the directive from the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).

Consequently, customers will not incur the previously announced 2% and 3% processing fees for individual and corporate accounts, respectively.

In a notice sighted by Starnews, the bank wrote:
“We write to inform you that the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has extended the suspension of processing fees on cash deposits until 30 September 2024.

“As a result, we will continue to accept cash deposits without charging the previously announced 2% and 3% processing fees for individual and corporate accounts respectively, beyond the initial deadline”.
