INEC releases timetable for Ondo Governorship Election

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has unveiled the timetable for the forthcoming governorship election in Ondo State, slated for November 16, 2024.

According to the timetable published on the INEC website, the key dates are as follows:

Party Primaries: Scheduled to take place from April 6, 2024, to April 27, 2024.

Submission of Nominee Lists: Political parties are required to submit their lists of nominated candidates for governorship and deputy governorship via the INEC Online Portal between April 29, 2024, and May 20, 2024.

Publication of Final Candidate List: The final list of candidates will be made public on June 18, 2024.

Commencement of Campaigns: Political parties are permitted to commence public campaigns from June 19, 2024, onwards.

This announcement sets the stage for a heated electoral process in Ondo State as parties gear up for the race to the governorship seat.
